What is required for my organization to use your service? All you need is (1) a background digital picture(s), (2) a green backdrop or green wall, signage, and (3) an evenly lit area about 10x10. We can provide or assist you with all these items.
Can guests take selfie shots? Yes! Typically another person takes the photo for the best results.
Can guests share their photos from the email directly to social media? Yes! The email can include a Facebook sharing button. An restricted copy of the photo is attached to share.
What if guests are wearing green? The green clothing will be invisible, this can create some fun photos.
Can the emails be sent to my organization’s domain? Yes! Your organization can setup email redirects to forward images from your server to ours.
Does the Off The Wall service capture user emails when they use the service? Yes! The list of user emails and photos can be provided each day. Email blind copies can also be setup to receive this information in real time. You must include marketing opt-in verbiage in your signage like the following: “By using this service, you are opting-in to receive marketing information from our organization and its partners. For more info visit: http://goodeyemuseum.com/privacy-policy.html”
How long am I obligated to use the service when I sign up? No long term obligations. Under our normal contract you are never obligated beyond the current billing quarter but we can bill monthly. You can signup for single day events.
What is the cheapest green screen backdrop I can get? Try this Amazon search. For around $25 you can get a 10 x 12 Chroma Key backdrop. Hang it from a wall with thumb tacks or make a do it yourself stand from 1 1/4 inch PVC pipe from Home Depot.
Is there a limit on how many photos I can send? There is no limit to the number of emails you can send. We have had no issue handling hundreds of emailed images per day.
Are there restrictions on the photos that can be used for the background? No limit. As with any image you use, you must own the copyright or have permission to use the photos that you supply as a background. In most cases, these images will come from your museum's collection so you already know what is required.
Can the photos be printed? Yes! (1) We will format the image to match your print size and (2) you provide to us an email address to blind copied the photo to so you can print it. You will need a computer to receive the emails and a photo printer. Nothing is done to the photos to make them unprintable. From a quality standpoint, we would not recommend printing anything larger than a 4"x6" print. If you have printing requirements, please contact us.
Can I use a regular camera? Yes! As long as the image can be emailed to our server, there is no restriction on what device is used to take the photo.
How large can the picture I send in be? Any image size will work, 2MB or larger images make for a better green screen image. Note that some email services have a maximum attachment size.
How large are the photos being sent out? The outgoing photos are approximately 1MB in size. If higher resolution or lower bandwidth usage is desired, this can be adjusted.
Can I use this service to collect non green screen photos? Yes! A special email address can be setup to collect, brand, and redistribute photos without green screen replacement.
Can I receive a copy of the reply email in real time? Yes! We can set a blind copy in the reply email so you will receive it at the same time the visitor does.
